Some fleet cars did have RS.
I found the fob for my 2008 in the OE plastic bag in one of the cargo bins. The salesweasel claimed "it doesn't have remote locks". Turned out there's a TSB about that on 2008 models, seems if the battery goes completely dead for a time the BCM forgets about the RCDLR, and needs firmware updating.

good day folks.
first off thanks for the additional info in the last few posts and sorry I haven't updated this recently. Time has been thin and work takes priority.
Second the car has been running solid since I "messed" with that rats nest of Alarm connections. So I am really confident the issue I get is from something there.
Instead of pulling that alarm out I'm going to stand pat for now and wait for the next issue and I'm sure it will crop up sometime in the future. When it does, since I know it is in that I can then begin to check each connection individually and when it returns to normal I'll know which one.
I'll will of course update as it happens. For now, it's running great, roomie took it up north again, about a 160 mile drive and no problem along with 27 MPG. Not bad for a rainy trip.
Thanks again to everyone here!
