Radiator Filler Neck ⚠️ Warning ⚠️
I actually wrote the first post with the oh-so reliable talk to text, and looking back at it, I can see how there was quite the mockery opt-ed, left wide open there. Thanks for the laffs! 👍
Stop, my sides are hurting! Thanks Oldblue, I never saw the wishlist button!
RJ, I wish I could have waited for one of these back then, but it's my daily driver. I just ordered this one, should be here this month. Others are a little less, but wouldn't be here until next month.

The threads on my pressure cap tee were poorly matched, making getting the cap on correctly difficult from day one, so I think it was a sloppy vendor. That could also mean defects in material, which could lead to the crumbling. I collected a tee with better threads from a boneyard. Seems solid. Haven’t used it yet, because the original is holding up well enough.
I’m guessing the material was a composite, a blend of nylon reinforced with fiberglass, or something of the sort. The crumbling could be explained by an improper blend locally, with too much glass and not enough resin. One incident should not lead to a panic to replace all these parts, but I do appreciate hearing about this and will keep my eye on it.

Donbrew.... I did the same as you and I had a draftsman's tri-scale I used. And one day killing time, I was walking around Harbor Freight and noticed they had a SS Digital 6 inch caliper, reading in inches and mm for $15. It also measured outside and inside diameters. I thought what the H$$$ and bought it. Just a little info for others. Oh, and checking the accuracy is within .0015 but can be reset to zero. I have a set of brass cert. blocks.
