Radio lights going crazy

Hey there,

This afternoon on the way home the lights in the center console area starting going all nuts. Occasionally the frequency and time come up but it keeps going in and out, but doesn't affect audio or any features.

I figured it would be a fuse, just haven't checked them yet.

Anyone have had this happen?

Wouldn't think it's a fuse if it didn't affect the audio. The entire radio is controlled by the same fuse.

Most likely lose/bad wires at the connector to the radio.

May be wrong, however.

Ok, is there any other thoughts regarding this before I disassemble the center console?

I was going nuts the other day about my radio display on/off. Turned out I had turned the dimmer down the night before on a 900 mile trip, the lights on the dash and radio have 3 or 4 different automatic modes. I only noticed when it was dimmed all the way down.

There is some rocket science AlGoreithm for the auto dimming, I am not smart enough to figure out. They seem to completely dim out in full sun, half dim in indirect sun and full on in darkness. But, that will be wrong the next time I bother looking.
