Radio Problem

The problem I'm having is that the left side speakers on my 08 Panel work intermittently. I turn on the radio one day and everything is fine. Next time I start the vehicle only the right side speakers work. If I listen close next to the left speakers the volume is very faint.

This has been happening on and off for about a month. Any ideas???

Loose wire or bad connection...maybe at the speaker, harness or back of radio??

Rikki: Having the same problem! If the left front speaker doesn't make a sound then can't hear the turn signal blinking. Also, didn't hear any warning sound and left headlights on after a daytime rain and ran battery down. Can't believe we are the only ones with this problem. Bought a used '06 last fall and now am having this problem. If the weather is really hot (upper 90's+) then speaker works. Stupid problem. Don't have any idea what causes it, so don't know how to fix.

Dear Red and Rikki,

I have read your posts about the situation with your vehicles. I see that Snoopy has provided you with avenues to try. Have you guys had any luck with his information that he shared?

You can also contact the service department for what they think that it might be. I realize that you guys don't want to take the vehicle into the dealership, but it is worth a try. There are a few dealerships within my area that can be contacted and they share information about what might be going. I only wanted to put this out there for thought.

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

I had the same problem and would lose all the speakers except the front tweeters. I also notice that one hot day they worked. I believe there is a component somewhere in this vehicle that is involved here. I have a internal Amp. Did you ever get yours fixed yet..? BH

This thread is 4 years dead.

The usual fault is the speakers themselves. Water gets on the coils then corrodes.

There are many threads on the subject.
