Rear wiper

Something odd happened on my way to work this morning. Had some light rain and at one point I turned on the rear wiper to the low speed delay to clean the rear window. I noticed a minute or so later that the window had not been swipped. I made sure I had actually pushed the switch, and nothing. I turned it off and back on, and it worked as normal. At first I though maybe I just didn't hit the switch all the way the first time and turned it back off. SHort time later I went to clear it again (light rain, didn't need it all the whole time). I didn't turn on again. So back off and on and still nothing. I tried the hight speed side and it came on, but I switched it back off and the wiper just stopped instead of completing it's cycle and returning to the rest position. Went back to the slow setting and it worked and seemed to work each time after.

I'm thinking switch, but has anyone had this issue before?
