Rear Wiper- It does not go down all the way

My rear wiper is sooooooooooooooo annoying!! It sit's 1/2 way up in my back window. It will wipe all the way down on the drivers side but then comes back up and sits in the middle of the window. I've noticed on other HHR's that their wiper sits down like is should. Is this a problem that only i am having?? I need a remedy to this. It's the only think i hate about my car!!!

Any way to do this without going to a dealer?? I bought mine used and can't afford the high rate a dealer would charge!!! (Ok...I don't WANT to pay what they would charge :) )

maybe the wiper was put on wrong. Try pulling it off, turning it clockwise a little and then putting it back on where it's supposed to be. I don't have an HHR so I don't know how easy it is to come off, but this might do the trick.
Otherwise, try taking it to Pep Boys. They always install my gf's wipers on her Jeep FREE, every time. She just says "Pretty Please" and they just do it.
Guys on the otherhand, don't get such free treatment, usually.

Take the little cover off the back wipper, loosen the 14mm or what ever size bolt it is, take wiper off, and replace the wiper down lower. It took me about 15 Minutes total.

The hinge cover pops off very easily without tools.

The nut that holds the wiper arm on is a 10mm.

All you need to do is pull the wiper and place it back on in the correct position. Basically a 2-3 min fix.

Here's another quick mod you can do while you're at it:

SoCal's Rear Wiper Mod

Hope it helps,

Shouldn't matter, if something is wrong with it the dealer should fix it for free, its under warranty still right? Cuz when I went to the dealership to have them replace the button on the dash they told me not to fix anything even if a headlight goes out they do it for free....I dunno tho, jus a thought
