Rear wiper parking inconsistently.

Anybody else have this problem? It's completely random on my car.Sometimes it parks all the way down, sometimes it bottoms and then jumps back up an inch or two.
And please don't suggest I remove the wiper. It rains and snows here so it's a useful feature.

Mine will do that sometimes....and I've noticed it on other HHRs on the road. I usually just shove it down with my hand....usually when I'm washing it. I don't have to put much pressure on it...so I don't really think it'll do harm since I always have to do this to the wipers on my truck as well, without an issue ever...

I'm very OCD, so I like the wiper to be level...so I always fix it!

And I agree, the wiper is too useful here to remove it!!

Same situation with mine...I have learned to live with it.

As it was raining all day here, I noticed a few times it would do this when I'd park...but when I got home it was right where it should be.... Who knows...

Mine also does this. Noticed if I pay attention to to when I turn the wiper switch off while its still wiping it will stop different either all the way down or just up a little.

Ironic that you just posted this... a couple weeks ago, this same thing started happening to my fiance's FRONT wipers...

Sometimes she shuts her wipers off, and they drop down to the original parking location at the bottom of the windshield then go up about 1 inch above where the should sit at the bottom of the windshield.

It is very random and appears to be no pattern. Sometimes it drops down as it should and other times it goes back up an inch when shut off...

After careful non qualified diagnosis - I feel that your wiper motor windings are wearing and you need a new one!

Forget the Dealer! They want way too much - Forget the junkyards! Why do it twice?

SoCal HHR Rear Wiper Motor Emporium!
