Remote start- starts then shuts down in 2-3 seconds

Remote start- starts then shuts down in 2-3 seconds

First of all, thank you to all on this forum, it is the first place that I visit when troubleshooting my 2006 hhr lt

my current issue is that my remote start is not working properly, it will start the car, then the car shuts off within seconds, anyone else have this issue , does anyone have any information about how to fix it? Thanks for any help that you can provide, appreciate it!

Welcome to the site, double check for CEL light have the codes pulled if it’s lit up.
next check your hi third brake lights , if ones burnt then the cruise won’t work also the stop light bulbs.

Thank you Oldblue, love the site, no CEL or codes but yes, one of my hi third brake lights is out, and that effects remote start? Wow, all.other lights are functioning, so fixing the hi third brake light might fix the issue?

Yes and while your at changing the one bulb replace all four, they are 921 bulbs

I used this style led , very nice in the reverse lamps also!
