You may have had an intermittent trouble code. Could have been caused by bad fuel or leaving the gas cap loose or a dozen other things. Anything that activates the engine trouble light will cause the remote start to stop working. If the problem goes away, the codes are cleared after driving for a while.

 

If its still under warranty, I would let them change out the parts (assuming they already ordered them). If its intermittent now, it may be a problem later after the warranty runs out.

 

I would suggest taking it in to get fixed. Mine had the "Key stuck in ignition" problem (for one day), went to dealer to "inform" them of the problem and didn't get it fixed then. Several months later, while on vacation, the same problem occured and would not fix itself like it did the first time. I had to locate the nearest dealer and drop it off on a Sunday.
