But you could be my sidekick. Like Tonto and the Lone Ranger.

Most of what I post I can never find again when someone needs it. So all the help I can get is always welcome.

Speaking of tires...I had my wheels balanced a few weeks ago. Didn't get it right the first time and then had to go back the next day and have them do it again (Tire Discounters). Second time was much better but it seems to be coming back around 65mph. I looked at the weights and no exageration, there must be 15 weights on my drivers rear. The tire guy asked if I had Firestones and said that they might be shot...they've got 20k of commute on them, most of which is highway. Anybody hear rumors of the OEM Firestones having belt shift issues (or something along those lines)?

I know one of my original Firestones does a thump, thump, thump, until it warms up...... just like an old bias ply. Not the kind of old school vibe I was after. They don't show balance problems like that though...... that's some serious weight.

Last time I saw that much weight, was in the Gym..

I have mine done on a "Road Force" Tire Machine, it will tell the guy if the tires should be spun on the rim (& how much) to use the least amount of weight, & balance just right..

that wasn't quite all of them, but close. Where does one find a "road force" tire machine?

I'd call around your area, some of the Fancy rim & tire shops might have one..
Bigger rims require a very good balance job..

I even get a computer print-out telling exactly what was done & etc..
