Which sensor is this?

As in upper O2 sensor then? Thanks Ballplr. Would that also cause a P0236 code as well? I have that too and the car's surging like a bastard. I'm looking to take it to the dealer but need to remove my 'toon' 1st...

The upstream sensor controls fueling. IDK about the 2nd code, but fueling issues are bad ju-ju. Stuff can happen that is not entirely predictable. Get 'er done. Fix that, and then see if you still have issues. That might be all.

You might want to just check and clean the connection for the sensor - they can cause similar problems to what you are seeing. Might save some $'s rather than replacing it. But if you are under warranty, let the dealer take care of it. :)

These thing can drive you nuts for sure. I originally was referring to the o2 sensor connector, which is probably a pain to get to. The reason I mentioned it was that I had. Similar problem with a Dodge Avenger throwing o2 codes, so I unplugged and replugged it several times hoping that would be enough to clean it. It ran great for several months then started throwing codes again. I then cleaned it with electrical cleaner and used a dental pick to get deep into the connection, then repacked it with silicone grease to keep out moisture. That was about 4 years ago and it hasn't skipped a beat since.
