Hi,
I have a 2011 hhr that i left the front passenger window open about 1/2
inch and there was a hard rain storm and the edge of the seat got wet .
When i started the car the warning sign came up . This is the first time
the seat got wet or the warning came up . When i came home i opened
the door and put a large fan on to dry out the seat . Hope this will
correct the problem . I've never had the AB warning come on as long as
i had the car . Has less than 60K on it.

 

There is the passenger sensor in the seat and it's connector under the seat.

Well after the fan blowing on the seat all night i started the car and everything seems
normal again .No warning flashes or AB symbol . Checked for recalls with VIN and
none . Talked with my repair team and said this can happen if the seat gets wet .
Water gets into the connector and shorts the system . Thanks for your help donbrew .
