Where is the reference to CEL?

This is the second thread I have had to unsubscribe tonight on account of my blood pressure.

With don brew gone.

I don't know what CEL is.

I do know that fixing the problem with the massa airflow sensor fixed the problem.

I don't know if my reader can read ABS C***** codes.
I don't know if there is a way to tell when there is not a problem/reason to display the codes.

Oh man - CEL is CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. The light on the dash that indicates there is a problem.

At this point I don't know if you still have a problem or not - you say the mass airflow sensor fixed the problem, yet I THINK what you post just previously is that you have some codes outstanding related to the p0010 and p0011 - they will cause the Traction Control and ESC lights to come on. The p0010/11 can be intermittent and if they have not been address already, you need to replace the Camshaft Actuator Solenoid for the intake side as per the procedure https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...13-14-a-28779/

Re: can your reader read ABS codes? Some can, some can't - it all depends on which one you have.

How to tell when there is not a problem or reason to display the codes? - if the CEL is not lit, then you do not need to read the codes.

Ok, time to close this thread before Don (our resident wizard) runs out of meds. I think we have answered your questions and pointed you in the right direction.
