Shifter button is not pressed

I wrote yesterday ... But the problem is beginning to irritate me.
The point is - I'm trying to put the transmission lever into "Drive". But the button is not pressed! Once I was forced to press it in for 3 minutes. I thought that I was not going away ever.
When you press the brake pedal operates a mechanism - the sound is heard in area of transmission lever. My sound is gone! Firing is not the first time.
What is this?

Hi Geg. I don't think it is a major problem - other people have had the same problem, and I don't think it is a real bad issue. There are other posts about it - I am searching for some information for you.

Sorry I cannot help more - I am using a tablet computer instead of my PC - so searching, copy/paste is a bit awkward. I hope that link gets you started on determing the problem.

The reason for failure - found. Problem solved.

Reason: Some time ago I forgot an opened jar of Fanta in the car. In the evening I told my son, go for it. The order was fulfilled, but he spilled soda all over the interior - I have to urgently wash through the improvised means. Unfortunately, a drops of Fanta got inside the selector and candied solenoid. Sticky solenoid! Brrrr! .. It's disgusting.

Solution: Removing the plastic of the waterfall - Search Solenoid - Solenoid lubrication by WD-40. The works by the autoelectrician. Cost of works - 400 rubles (or $ 34).

Conclusion: I have always been the enemy of food in the car, I even wrote about it in this forum. Experience has shown - the more distance between your food and your car, the more security for your wallet.

TOM - thank you again/
