So many issues

My check charging system and battery savor keep coming on, we've replaced over 600 dollars worth of censors in the HHR and unfortunately where I live you have to pass emissions in order to get your tags, so my check engine light has been on for over a year and I'm driving with expired tags, this car is driving me crazy, I've taken it to different auto parts stored and had them put it on their machines but still at square one.. anybody have any suggestions that won't break the bank?

to the forums!!

Sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing. Did the auto parts stores give you any code numbers from the OBD2 system(check engine light codes)?

My suggestion, with the information provided, is: stop listening to teenagers in auto parts stores.

Sensors are rarely the problem, if they trigger a code that means they are working!

I will take a wild blind guess that the codes you got were p0010, p0011, p0013 and/or p0014, and that you have replaced cam position and crankshaft position sensors.

Without the codes that were downloaded anything we can suggest would be just a wild guess, resulting in you spending more money without resolving the issues.

So post us the codes (not the verbal description as they are often incorrect) - the codes themselves, and we will see what we can help you with. Nothing worse than a vehicle that causes problems......... well, ok, maybe an empty bbq tank just as the guests arrive.

Welcome to the site, take a deep breath, relax , and X2 on getting the actual codes, we wouldn't want to continue to guess and dig further into your wallet!
What year?
Which engine?
Which transmission?
Please have a look at your invoices and list which parts have been replaced.
