I'd clarify this , as it was a road hazard piece of debris and not a smack from another car or truck! Up here that is covered under comprehensive insurance! Not collision!

Fishy!

I'm thinking it had basic coverage only, not comprehensive. Collision covers when you hit someone and it fixes their car. Comp covers your car.

Collision, comprehensive, and uninsured are not required in my state. We had comp cuz we lived on a property that had nothing but old trees anf wanted to be covered if any of them fell. Anyway, looking at the car at the dealership now and it's a 06 with 2.2 so I'm in luck.

They said because it bounced off the road it's collision.

Maybe the better question is... Why do you have that insurance company?

Meh, I'm passed all the insurance crap. This is gonna cost me a total of 650 to get the radiator, ac condensor, fan, and motor installed so it works out much better for me.

Hopefully the motor in the donor car isn't on it's last legs. Might want to do some testing on it.

Maybe during the swap through a new timing chain set into the donor engine.
