Some sort of throttle code
Start by inspecting the Throttle Body, it probably is dirty.
There are a few different types of OBDII codes.
There are 2 O2 Sensors.
We have recently been discussing reduced MPG in the very cold weather. I got 31 MPG when the ambient was 50ish F, and 25 MPG when the ambient was in the single digits F.
Personally, I would wait for the OBDII to tell me to replace an O2 sensor. They are not cheap, and not really a "maintenance" part except for shops that want to also flush your power steering fluid (they use a 3rd party check off sheet in the hopes of scaring people).

I am trying to help my husband figure his car out because we survive off him driving for Lyft and right now he’s not able to do that. He has a computer thing that he can connect with Bluetooth and tells him what his lights are for. It threw the throttle position sensor. He bought the one under the hood and that wasn’t the problem so he did the one at the pedal. This was not the problem either. There is now a high idle if it’s in park or neutral. We actually changed the one under the hood twice because the mechanic said the first one was bad. It doesn’t go into limp mode anymore. The only time he gets a code is the high idle one. It seems like it’s not learning the computer and we don’t know how to make it work. Any advice on that?
Clean the throttle body with proper throttle body cleaner.
Do NOT move the throttle plate! You will strip the plastic gears inside.
the sensors for the throttle position were working telling you there was a problem with the throttle plate not returning to where it should be, because of the dirty throttle body.
