I just started hearing a grinding noise in the steering column of my 2006 HHR. Anyone know what it is or how to fix it? Thanks

Can you describe the noise a bit more, is it a "Graunch", "Squeak", "Crunching" or a "Plastic on Plastic" kind of noise?

The more details, the better, even if you think they might sound dumb.

 

It can be a number of things from the intermediate steering shaft to the bearings in the EPS module to a coin fell down into the column
