If you don't like that, get the OEM netting from GM. That works good too!

Thanks to a bad back, I just put the bags on the floor in front of the back seat, stretching to reach into the back just kills me.

The back injury was self inflicted sort of, turned a perfectly good race car into a ball of scrap back in '06 at Road Atlanta. Two broken vertebrae and three operations later, I can now play the violin, which is amazing since I couldn't play before the crash.

I use these from Home Depot. Bought 2 when I first got my HHR. 2 was 1/3 the price of the fancy GM HHR Logo organizer.

I use them for everything and the material is super strong. Well worth it.

I have the one from Harbor Freight I use to carry misc. items. Has held up for 4 months now. I think 2 might be nice.

I tied a couple of short bunges on each of the attachment points on each side. That gives me two hooks on each side to attach to grocery bags etc. Works great, and they are out of the way when not used, and always there when you need them.

Quite a few years ago I picked up some collapsible crates from Target that I used for laundry baskets and for putting grocery bags in the car. They worked great. Like this but mine are just blue/gray:

I have the HHR logo organizer -- came with the car and very useful, but tend to just put groceries behind the seats for the most part. So other then when I do the Costco trips and load up on water, pet food, etc., the back stays pretty empty.

I don't think I've ever used the grocery hooks -- MJ, did your baby come with the cargo net? I took mine out so long ago I don't think I remember where I put it.

Still lovin' my baby 3.5 years and almost 41K miles later.
