sun roof deflector removed?

For those of you whose sun roof deflector has broken and you have removed it, how much of a difference is there in noise ectwith the roof open?

I don't think you can drive without some kind of deflector up there. I thought someone said the air would come down and affect the ceiling possibly ripping it down.

I think most of us replaced it with these: this is the one I have

I have one of these new in the box for sale for $55+shipping if you are interested.(if you can't tell the second one has flaps...that's the only difference, to help deflect more wind/noise away)

I removed mine about 2 months ago and almost always drive with the sunroof open. There is a pretty loud drone even at lower speeds (35MPH) if only the sunroof is open. With the front windows open it creates a lot more air flow into the front of the cabin compared to the deflector; opening the rear windows pretty much alleviates it.

I have not noticed any adverse effects on the ceiling since removing it.
