The correct replacement acuator I used was part #22743214. I can't say if the failed acuator was the original or not. Evidently the old acuator and corresponding part number that I removed was #22756140. I believe that acuator fits a late model Cadillac. It had functioned well up to the failure point. My guess is the original acuator may have failed and an incorrect one was installed to replace it.

The moral of the story is, never buy a vehicle with a hole in the roof.

 

Is there a way to manually shut the roof in the event of an emergency until modules/motors can be replaced?
