Sunroof crapped out

Thought I got lucky with the factory sunroof when I grabbed my panel over the winter. Sunroof seemed to operate without a problem. I use it frequently and today it had a meltdown.

When I was closing it I heard a lot of crunching and knew it wasn't good. One of the black plastic sliders that slide on the track somehow hit the front of the sunroof opening and snapped. I know there was problems with the wind deflector mechanism, but that seems to be fine. Was gonna snap a pic but I freaked and just tried to get it closed because its gonna rain.

I did look thru the threads but didn't see anything about this piece breaking. Its about 18" long and slides between the glass and the track. One on each side. I'm going to bring it to a local guy to take a look, but just want to get a handle on what the hell happened.

Gotta have my sunroof.

Yeah, saw that, looks like I'm springing for a new frame cuz it doesn't look like any of the components are broken down to parts (like the windscreen). If I didn't use it so much, I'd just seal it shut. Bad design all the way thru.
