Svc tire monitor

Hi, My tpms light is on and Tried to reset since my winter tire do not have sensors . Tried to do by setting learn mode by pressing buttons on fob, horn sounds. I have the tool to reset sensors. Starting with drivers side the horn sounds, right front tire next, horn sounds. then back right and horn sounds, Finally drivers rear and horn sounds twice. Took for a run around the block but the stays on and DIC does not show any pressure read out. Am I missing something , any help will be appreciated.
Jim

driver rear needs new sensor. You could test by starting Driver rear, is the same result it is dead.
The way it works is: first position set goes into the driver front slot. Doesn't matter where it actually is.

X2 a dead battery in the sensor, you can just change the one and wait till the others die, or replace them all.

If you got a single honk for 3 of 4 but none are showing on the dic maybe you haven’t driven it far enough yet. Odd how long it seems to take. I installed wheels/tires with dead sensors and the car continued to display the old data for at least ten miles, maybe more.

Jim, I see you have a 2008 HHR, perhaps the RCDLR is in need of a reprogramming? But it’s still very plausible you’re sensor has a dead battery.

Yeah, been there, but hope springs eternal. I want the system to at least go ahead and register the ones that connected, before it aborted, but that's asking too much I guess. It’s a clunky arrangement.
