Just go by what is in the manual. Turn the key to acc., put the transmission in Neutral, release the parking brake, and pull the number 8 fuse. That is it. I have pulled mine about 5000 miles so far and have had no issues what so ever. I even leave the little fuse puller attached to the fuse at all times so it is easier to pull and replace.

I put a by pass switch on my #8 fuse so I don't have to pull it out.

make sure the E brake is off. If you use a Brake buddy be sure to pump the brake pedal a few times with the engine off before leaving. that's about it.
