Tranny??? or something

my little ride has been making an unusual noise... It starts at about 30mph and stays consistent when gaining speed... It is not engine noise, I know that... It kind of sounds like when I had AT's on the truck...
I took the wheels off, no play in the hubs, the CV axles look ok, and dont seem to have any play.. All of the linkage and tie rod look good as well.. I know I am in need of new struts, but this isnt a strut noise...
ANY suggestions?? Trans, power steering?..

What year is it and what engine? I would guess wheel bearing or the tranny

This may sound stupid but how are the air pressures in your tires. A low tire can cause a similar noise.

the amount of runout on bad bearings is very small, you may not notice it by feel. Gm uses a micrometer to measure but I forget what the limit is.
