Check with a trans shop. Dealer does not have anything different than any other shop, so shopping around is worth it. Same machines, same Dex VI.

The fluid alone is good for more than $50, an hour labor, pay for the machine.

Actually, being this is in Canada (and overpriced), the $200 is pretty reasonable.

well i checked around and prices are basically the same so i did it at the dealer today and they used the machine to do a full flush...i thought they would still drop the pan and swap filter/seal but they dont, they said no need with the back flush the machine does and it cleans it out compleletely and add some kind of seal "refresher" to lube up the filter/seal again and your good to go

X2, if they're planning on doing a half a**ed job, have it done somewhere else.

I just did the filter and fluid and filter change in my driveway two weeks ago, a little messy but I was able to reuse the neoprene gasket the filter was filthy and the metal partials stuck to the magnet did need to be cleaned out, 215,000 klms, the 7 liters of fluid are actually 7 quarts , $54.00 bucks and the filter from GM parts counter was $70.00 for a total of $124.00 so the $200.00 would be worth it if they changed the filter and cleaned the magnet and the pan, but to just back flush, I'm with Firemangeorge, not in my HHR
