FIXED!!

In hindsight, I would do the repair the same way. I would go through the side cover. It is not THAT difficult, but figuring out that I had to partially drop the frame was the big learning.

Tips:
1. Generally follow the steps above. Skip 17,19,21,22. But do the following steps
2. Do NOT disconnect the steering linkage. Loosen the bolts from the frame (I did them almost all the way).
3. Loosen the frame bolts on the passenger side by a couple inches. Remove the drivers side completely.
Prop the tranny and engine with a jack. Kinda a duh but worth repeating.
4. Take out the swap bar linkage from BOTH sides. This is a MUST to get the clearance you need
5. Do I need the mention the frame bolts to he center if the vehicle? I extremely loosened them.


I put it all back together in 3 hours. It took me 1.5 days to figure out how to take it apart (I am slow when I get stuck). This was all in some extreme heat ( in a shaded garage), so you can estimate your time accordingly. Guessing it would take me 3-4 hours to take it off knowing what I know now.

I changed 3 solenoids. One was bad (resistance was very low). I figured the matching solenoid was not far behind. If I planned this, I would have bought all the solenoids for I could have price shopped. I only replaced the torque converter solenoid because it was damaged from me trying to get the side case off without dropping the frame. Spend $160 at the dealer for these. Replaced the output shaft seal and 5-6 qts of tranny fluid too. Did not replace the gasket.

Hoping to not do it again. But if you can do the timing chain, you can totally do this repair
