trouble codes

I have a 07 chevy hhr 2.4 . For a first time chevy owner, I can honestly say i will never think of buying a chevy after this car, such a problem car. to the problem....just came from the auto store,,.it has trouble codes p0420, p0107, p0520, c0561. it has 180,000 miles. i think the check engine light is on more than off since i have had this car. I almost felt like it was going to stop running twice last night. kinda sputtered while at idle and driving home. any advice would be appreciated. pretty sure it going to pick a parts soon. never owned a car that has had so many non stop issues.

P0420 You should have had the previous problems fixed before it came to ruining your catalytic converter. Usually caused by oil consumption or running lean or rich.
C0561 means the TCS is disabled. Maybe because you turned it off or maybe one of the other codes caused it.
P0520 means your oil pressure switch doesn't have power. Could be unplugged, broken wire or faulty switch.
P0107 means the MAP sensor is not getting power.

I don't see a connection between the MAP and the oil pressure switch except they are close to each other. That leads me to think "kinked/burned wire", possible bad pin in the ECM connector.

You don't say how long you've had the vehicle, what issues it has had in the past, what work has been done to it... All important information.

I read his other posts. He was "given" this car about 3 years ago along with it's inherited problems. Not sure why he wants to bad mouth Chevy because someone else dumped their problem car on him. Sounds like the car was abused and not taken care of before he got it.

12 or 13 years and 180,000 miles , not really cared for, must be Chevy’s fault!

He stated 3 years ago it had 77,000 miles, and now it has 180,000. In 2-3 years it has rolled up over 100,000 miles. That's not bad for a car that is so troublesome.
