I tried replacing the turn signal switch in my ‘07 HHR with a known working switch they both have the same primary (upper) part number on them but a different secondary (lower) part number. When I plug in the new switch the parking lights light up but not the headlights even activating the dimmer feature the headlights don’t come on. Is this a bad switch or is it out of an ‘06 possibly? Do both numbers have to match? Is this switch type assembly unique to the HHR or do cars like the Cobalt have the same switch? Any help given is highly appreciated.
