Visors loose

Has anybody had their window visors get a little droo py? I do admit to keeping a few papers on top, but nothing too heavy. So now my visors are not staying up tight against the roof. I have not looked closely at them yet, but was wondering if there is a way to tighten them? Is it friction or a spring that holds them up? (On older cars, there is a screw holding it to an arm and if you tighten the screw it increases the tension.)

Thanks for any advise. Tomorrow it is supposed to warm up so I should be able to tolerate sitting in the car and pulling them apart without running the engine to keep the heat on and spending a fortune in gas.

On my drivers side visor the mount that holds it to the headliner/roof broke. Two of the three plastic holes cracked out. It was replaced under warranty

Visors

My passenger side visor started to sag or droop right after purchase. Dealer replaced it under warranty.

Problem is that I am out of warranty now. I have to go back next week because right before it ended they diagnosed a knock as a bad steering column. They changed it last Thursday, and it was quiet until yesterday. Also, they didnt center the steering wheel. I will ask them about the visor but it may be too late.
