water in blower motor?

For the past few months we have been noticing water in the blower motor casing maybe? Only reason i think that is because when we turn the corner we here the blower motor bog down and sound like its hitting water. and ocassionaly if we turn fast to the right the water comes out of someplace and drips on the drivers right foot on the pedal. any ideas? its getting annoying. and musty. This is on an 06 HHR

Thanks

Joshua Arndt

More than likely given that you have an '06 Joshua, its a leaking butyl patch on the firewall under the cowl cover panel at the rear of the hood, give this thread a read for how to fix the problem.

That has been fixed by the dealer about 40 thou miles ago... they said they resealed it all up. Also i was checking the cabin air filter cause that had never been looked at ever since i've owned it, and it was horribly clogged up. While i had it out i turned the car on with ac on full blast and it started like pouring water out of the lower vents and out the bottom of the car. Could that have been the problem? The clogged cabin filter I'm referring to?

Its entirely possible, a clogged filter can cause water to back up into the cabin, also check the condensate drain from under the vehicle to make sure its clear. You can carefully, very carefully, insert a bit of wire with a hooked end up into the drain to clear away any debris.

X2. Sounds like the AC drain is plugged up. You should see it dripping out the drain hose with the car stationary and AC on.(engine running of course)

Just cause the dealer fixed the patch once, doesn't mean it hasn't failed again. Best to check it as well - do not rule it out yet.
