It is considered a "Maintenence" and it is NOT covered in any warranty from 2006 to 2010. Not covered. Like changing oil, keeping proper pressure in tires, etc. I did contact them too and is what any dealer would tell you.

Yes, I would contact your Dealer asap. Do it before it dries up....

Your 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty starts when your ride was first titled.

My wife's New Beetle had a clogged sunroof drain and the dealer replaced the drain line and all the carpets front and rear.

Sunroof Leak

I had a sunroof leak that turned out to be the drivers side front tube dead-ending in the drivers compartment. It drained directly onto the firewall and down under the carpet. I am still drying the underpad as we speak.

Did you figure out where that tube was supposed to hook up?

Grey:

No. I even had my son (with his good eyes and flexable body) climb under the dash with a flashlight and look for a spot to connect it. He could not find the last part of the drain tube or a hole to stick it in. I spent some time down there before inlisting his help with no success.

I am hoping someone has pics of the left front drain or the installation procedure in written form. I have the manual in PDF form, but can't find the drain replacement discription.
