water leak
Hi all me again, I seem to have found the problem of t/c light & P0171 code. found a cracked pvc hose (vacuum leak) as donbrew suggested ! thanks for that.. now I have a water problem, have read other posts about it, did the patch thought it was fixed, had hard rain last night on way home. when I stopped had small amount of water run in on pass side. I did have defroster on. No sunroof, where is drain pan that people speak of located??
The drain "pan" is integral to the AC box under the dash on the passenger side.
The drain hose for that pan comes out of the firewall in the engine bay. If you can't locate the drain hose, try a Search here. Someone has previously posted a picture in an old thread.
Sounds like you may have a clogged drain hose that needs cleaning out.

found the drain, ran a piece of weed wacker line in & blew air in, got quite a bit of water out. hope that's the end of it!! seems odd that while driving through the storm no water came in, waited until we stopped
I'm the "someone" with the drain pic....

But seeing as you found it and it sounds like the issue is resolved dwarfracer1, I'll just post the pic for future reference.
That way the next member will have a fresher thread on the issue popping up in yon Search Box.

That pic was taken by a long since inactive member Oldblue, but it comes in handy during the annual discussion of blocked condensate drains.
It's very predictable, we have a flurry of blocked drains at the start of the A/C season, due to insect nests, rodents, etc.
Then about at the height of the Summer, it's a case of "here we go again", and weedwacker line or very long zip ties are pretty good at breaking up blockages in the drains.
You never want to do what one member did a few years back, he used a huge Craftsman flat bladed screwdriver to poke about, and you can guess where this is going..right?
Hint, the repair bill was a whopper.(no not our Senior Moderator whopper, I meant the repair bill was huge)
