What to do
I have an 08 HHR 2.2 when the temperature gauge drops the AC will not work I have changed the temperature sensor did not help sometimes you can wiggle the wiring harness and it compressor will kick on temperature gauge comes back up but does not always work

Welcome to the site, a new pigtail spliced into the harness will fix that
