Interesting to see that the wire had corrosion in it, yet it appears just fine! As the HHR probably has the same wiring as other GM vehicles, let’s see if the new harness cures the problem.

That part number shows ONLY for Chevy Silverado. The GMC Sierra has different part numbers, depending on trim level/options.

I understand that p/n will not fit an HHR, just interested if it’s plausible that our wires are bean counters too! Soya bean , get it?

Just an update on the 2135 code. It has been many years and miles since this occurred and it never came back. For those that don't want to read the entire thread, this issue turns out to be all about connections. ie, it was resolved with cleaning and lubing the connections to the computer and not a result of changing any parts or re-crimping any wire connectors. The vehicle now has 253,000 miles on it and I use it about 4 days a week as a "work truck". Often pull a small landscaping trailer with either a zero turn mower or other equipment. This vehicle has required very few repairs. Recently changed the front control arms and I have the torsion bar links and bushings to do next time I have it on the hoist. This is the only front end work the vehicle has received (other than brakes/rotors). It still has the original clutch.
