Turn your lamps off while your car is running, count to 10, then turn them on. The 55W kits are known to do this. Some ballasts are intolerant of the drops in voltage when you go to start your car (which will cut the headlights briefly) and they shut off.

Now that you said that I remember Jason (saxrocks2009) said he had a problem with his passenger side not coming on like that. I don't think his are DDM Tuning but he said he turns them off and then back on and all is fine.

i have to toggle my lights off and on a few times until the passenger side stays on. i think it also has to do with temperature too, mine act up when it gets cold.

It sounds like the ballast is intolerant of the voltage drop as nacademus stated. Maybe you should turn the ignition on and select "auto lights off" to see if they go on correctly after the engine is started.

Not sure if it has anything to do with it but I know Gas Man said he had pulled the fuse for the DRL.
