Fascinating! The unlock switch uses resistance regulation which is identified by the BCM to determine if lock or unlock is applied. low impedance = lock, high impedance = unlock.

Consider that this type of design has been used in other components for years, such as steering wheel radio controls. Super simple, one wire in, one wire out with multiple functional capability.

I will state that even if I find a switch that is not of the proper design, it would not be hard to add the stock button's resistor inline such that a standard style switch could accomplish this function.

wait.... could I skip a switch and make either front door rod be the control? pull or push to activate all other locks?? Discrete and unnoticable.

See pages 103-106 in your Owner Manual. Remove key. open driver door, push lock button, when last door is closed, all doors including tailgate lock after a few seconds. Or, use the fob when a door or tailgate is open then close the doors, all lock. I used that when unloading cargo
The ignition switch uses impedance, too. Why use wires when a resistor will do the job.
