Wiper transmission

Can any one tell me how to sync windshield wiper motor arm with the transmission. Didn’t pay attention when I took it apart and can’t figure out what position to put it in. Should I put power to the motor to park before trying to put it back together. Any help appreciated.

Welcome
Put it in the park position. If the windshield is stock, there will be an alignment spot on the outer, lower, right edge of the windshield. It is a small, clear circle with a dot in it. (some replacement windshields may have that circle)
The passenger side blade should align with that circle or close to it.

If you have moved the motor position from the original parked position as you took it apart, yes you will have to apply power to it to get it back to the park position.

Good find Oldblue - those pics were very helpful to a lot of us. BTW - my cheapie fix lasted 4 years and was still going strong when I got rid of the car.

I’ve still got my original wiper transmission, with that same problem, I purchased a new transmission, and installed it, then decided to keep the original for a spare.
