I sent it to
http://www.usspeedo.com/

They did the install and sent it back to me. I think it was around $125.00 plus shipping to Michigan.

.....Regards

While on my vacation and on a nice desolate country highway, I reached a top speed of 108 MPH, the accelerator had more to give, gues that is the speed it was governed out at.

I don't expect too much speed from my HHR. I wind it out and see how fast it goes. When I want to go fast ,I'll just hop in my Dakota R/T. That will do 140mph. I usually cruise the breezeways in Chicago about 80 so I imagine once I get my new HHR it will go about the same.

I took mine out the other day and got up to 110 and then it felt like I lifted the throttle. I thought maybe I had just run out of power, but from this thread it seems that there is a limiter installed. I have the 2.4L engine and auto. Has anyone bypassed the limiter? I could get over 120 MPH in the old car, but nowhere near the mileage that I am getting from the HHR. I just figured that the lower top speed came with the package.

HPTuners software will allow you to change the top speed of your car. not that it will do that speed but takes the limiter off.

Drop it into "I" gear. You'll take a really big hit on economy but if you're trying to max out the HHR, I doubt you'll be worrying about that.
