I dont know what mine will do on its own. I was drafting behind the z and my front bumper was about a foot or so away from his back bumper.

 

i hit 120 this morning when getting on to the hightway .

i hit the governor at 126 mph on a long two mile bridge in temple, tx. i have since then added the cortex tuner and increased the speed limiter. still haven't had the chance to go back and see what it can do now.

 

the 5spd ss limiter is 155, didn't know the auto was different.

 

i did this in my stock ss about 3 months after i got it, i have that little dash computer system that came with the car and i hit 126, i may not have hit the limiter so you are probably right about the setting. but i did run out of straight road, so had to lift off. I will actually be going down the same bridge this weekend. i now have the superchips cortex tuner on it, with the speed limiter lifted to the "superchips level" as they call it. my brother just bought a new mini digital recorder and he's going with me. I will film what i hit and post it, haven't seen any posts with that yet. should be fun.

 

Ive hit 138 in 4th gear in my 5spd with tune, couldve shifted to 5th and been fine but i didn't really want to. Its a little bumpy 2 lane "highway" on my way to work. Ill have to datalog a topspeed run one day lol.

I understand switching to "I" will kill the limiter in an auto? Not for sure on that but would like to try to find a place to do that

 

I have an auto and had no problem breaking 130... my goal was to max it out but I ran out of room.

 

**** I was doin 130 in traffic today... that was nothing.
