Has anybody heard or know anything yet as far as the main hotel for the gathering?

 

Siobhan, Chris and I are going to bow out of this one His store just went union and they are one of the lower volume stores and the way the economy is we are not sure what is going to happen. Therefore, we are just going to do the C.P. Meet this year. If this meet is still a go I hope you and everyone else that attends has fun

 

Update, 01/16/09:

I spoke -- yet again -- with the two cabin rental companies today about overcoming the large security deposit hurdle. I think we may finally be making progress on this. I'm waiting on a call back regarding how to have each interested party call to make an individual reservation and pay their portion of the deposit.

I apologize for the delay, but these larger cabins are almost always booked by companies for employee meetings, etc., and the large deposit required is normally covered by a corporate credit card. Making arrangements for a number of individuals who are not connected and are coming from a wide variety of locations makes this a bit different.

If you recall, a few folks had initially wanted to bring their campers/RV's to this rally.

I had sent inquiries to a number of campgrounds, but didn't seem to get any interest from this group.

Here is an email I received yesterday, so I told him I would post his offer to this group....

How many are attending this event ? Have plans been made for where we all meet up? Just wondering,only about 2 months left till the 24th. I'm going , reserved a cabin 2 months ago.
