Tim, I think we should set a day aside to just browse Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. There are many shops and attractions to visit in that spot. If enough people are interested we definitely need to work on The Dragon Run. And of course FOOD, FOOD, FOOD. We need to contact some local restaurants and see if they are willing to give any discounts to a large group etc.

Just a note to think about, the first weekend in May is Streetrod Nats South in Knoxville and alot of the rodders stay in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg usually from Wednesday thru Monday, myself included. Also there is usually a early Ford Truck Show in Pigeon Forge the same weekend. I think its a good Idea and would like to come. I agree about checking with local Chamber Of Commerce's about open dates.

I have been down there and all i can say is you never run out of things to do. There are the smoky mountains plus tons of other activities. A MUST place to eat at is the dixie stampede. www.dixiestampede.com
Also one can venture down to chattanoga to see the ruby falls and go on an incline that takes you to the top of a large hill where you can see everything.
For nascar fans there is a place where you can drive go karts with varying speeds and difficulty.

I forgot about the smoky mountain car museum. Also speaking from experience it gets really hot even though it is in the mountains. The temps were in the mid 90s with high humidity.

Keep the suggestions coming ... it's always good to hear what people are interested doing. I'm sure we can put together a great Meet that everyone will enjoy. I'm really enthused by the great response and all the members that say they will attend. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Keep the suggestions coming -- we want to hear from you!

I've met her ... on a plane flying from SF to Chicago. She's incredibly nice, very friendly, and down to earth. I've seen her around Nashville several times too. If I see her again, I'll invite her to join us! Any volunteers to use their HHR to chauffeur her around?
