Deja Vu Rendezvous '09 / May 9, 2009
Well we just arrived home and man what a well needed weekend away. It was a beautiful drive as soon as you get out of the LA traffic. Told todd when we got back into LA county Welcome to LA. If I could start the drive just past LA I would do that drive all the way up more often. Being a native so cal person I have not driven up the 101 before. Thanks Chris and Kristen for being the troopers and taken this cruise on from Bud. Bud you and Harvey were missed.
Like Kim said when we get together it is like a reunion. Well Nor-Cal we will let you know when our Tom's Farm Anniversary event will be tenative first weekend in November.
Thanks again for a great day of cruisin'.

Oh, Randy and wife - they are so cute and seem just perfect for that healthy lifestyle - running included!
Wow, what a blast! This was the first run I made with members from this forum, and I had a ball! Met some great folks, and hopefully, made a couple of new friends. Here some of my observations about the G2G:
1. SoCal owners with dark paint appear to spend a fanatical amount of time polishing and cleaning off bugs. I love my white car more now.
2. SoCal owners appear to be a narcissist group. Every time we stopped, everyone would bail out of their cars, cameras snapping pictures. First their car, then others.
3. SoCal owners sure are a friendly lot. Everyone introduced themselves to me, and not one of them asked me to pick up the tab for lunch.
Kudos to Chris and Christin for putting on this G2G, it was really well thought out and enjoyed by all. Looking forward to the next one. I took a couple of photos during the trip, you can see them at my Flickr site flickr.com/photos/96553078@N00/sets/7215761784458

The TomTom had me going in a L O N G roundabout way to Buellton--which, like a dork, I started to follow!
Luckily I know the Grapevine and the 101 like the back of my hand and knew that Pea Soup Anderson's (both of them) are right off the freeway. 2.5 hours from Santa Ana: 175 miles.
You and the rest of the SoCal group were missed!
And UncleDonnie--my Blackie is all shiny again-no bugs!
@
Delaney! Man, how could I ever have forgotten her name. She was so prim and proper when she said her name was Delaney and she was "this many years old", holding up three fingers.
She was one of the highlights of the G2G.
I added 4 more pics to my Flickr account.
