Well it's time to get started on the SS

Now I know the factory way to drop the cradle,
and I've see guys pull the motor out of the top with an auto.

But with a manual isn't the flywheel and pressure plate going to make it really hard to remove fro. The top?

Let alone getting it back on the input shaft going In

Dropping the cradle is the best way yes?

Easiest, anyway if you have a lift. Just disconnect the 4 cradle bolts and the 6 strut tower bolts (or pull the axles)(and other stuff) then lift the body off.

I just recently completed this. Lowered the cradle, no lift. Make sure to read my post #56, shows the difference between the jacks that I used. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...-engine-62561/
