The Boy "killed" The Battery
Thanks all!
1st. The fobs are fine, I re-soldered them a long time ago and when I changed the Batteries yesterday the tensioned clip was still good in both fobs. so I know it isn't this.
2nd. the TPMS are not registering either, and because the car isn't recognizing them I can't re-program.
3rd. I did just replace the left-rear turn signal lamp on friday after it stopped working on the way to work. (when I replaced it, while I was taking the lamp out it started flashing again, but I replaced it anyway) I then noticed that the right-rear running lamp was out as well, so I replaced it too. I don't think this is the cause since I found the headlights in the on position, after my son had been playing in it.
I jumped the car the way I was supposed too, next step is to unhook tha battery and check the fuses, thank you for replies. I will update. Now if I can just find the monkey who took my wrench.
If the next things don't work then dealship bound I will be. I hope it is nothing because we have had nothing but good luck with this car so far, considering its 3 years old come January and is a hard riding DD.

Foolman,

I know I hate it when someone tells me I WILL have to take the vehicle to the dealer. Especially for something as dumb as the manufacture screwing up as in this case, but alas that is the only place you are going to get this issue resolved.
The FOB Remotes and the TPMS use the same receiver, located above the headliner by the rear view mirror. It has a habit of loosing memory in the 2008s when it experiences low voltage. Dealer issue – it would be nice if your vehicle were under warranty.

Update part 3,
She sits in the service bay as I type. They already tried to re-program didn't work. The tech working on the car thoiught that a wire might have been pulled or the receiver under the headliner was bad.
so what does that mean? well my quick little trip for a re-flash had me in their waiting room for 1.5hrs, then they told me it would be at least 2 more hours to hunt down and fix. So I had them take me home. I hope its done before 6pm (its 3 now)
my 3 year old is a little tyrant, so I don't doubt that he did something without knowing it when he was playing up front while I vacumned the back.
I'm gonna have to pay for this and just labor right now is looking about a bill or so, not oncluding parts.
I have to say though that once again my major services have been my fault and not that of a pissy car. Thats if indeed they find something that a 3 year old could have pried loose. Otherwise that is pretty pis-poor engineering to have something like that happen just because of a "voltage drop".
Does anyone still have a purist car? ka know crank windows, and only the wiring you need to make it function? JK
Thanks Sno-White! can't wait to see what this is gonna cost.

Final Update!
Thank you Sno-White, after reading the TSB(i swear I searched over the weekend with no luck), I called the dealer(i know they hate this) but I told him about the RCDL, and lo-and-behold, a half-hour later wala, it is fixed!
DAMAGE: $135.00 and having to tell the dealer what was wrong with my car thanks to the ChevyHHR.net!
Seriously though, 135 bucks sucks for something that should have never been designed to happen? thats crap, and the 2nd design flaw I've experienced(brake vacumn). but I still love my little wagon! Now if I could just get HANN to ship the parts I paid TTR almost 2 months ago for, I might have a good month.

First off I hope the dealer did not blame your little one for this. He had nothing to do with this, except for shared blame between him and you as to the dead battery. That said children are expensive to raise.
A dead battery should not be a occasion to visit the dealership for repairs they can only do. You might want to escalate this and talk to the Regional Manager, as this is a “known” issue as evidenced by the Service Bulletin. I probably wouldn’t have any luck with this, but as you read through various threads on this forum, some have.

dealer didn't blame the kid, but he knew once I told hime it was the RCDL, that he couldn't get much over me. He asked me when I picked the car up just now how much I knew about this car, and I told him I knew enough to get into trouble with it.
It is a new dealership for us since we moved 4 months ago. I have a 50K maintence scheduled for next week. If they do me OK I'll use 'em for everything.

Thanks Asanti, Yeah, I waited until after HANN supposedly opened, to order some parts, and I thought by ordering from TTR(authorized dealer) that they would be able to put a little pressure on HANN. But, as of the 10th of november I will have been waiting 8 weeks for someone to bend 4 pieces of pipe and then powder coat them..... I'm no rocket doctor, but, that should take maybe 2 days. I understand moving blah, blah, blah. and I don't directly blame TTR but I am really starting to want to ask for some compensation for my wait. I'm gonna be nice until the 10th then all bets are off as far as a dis-gruntled customer goes. I tried to get the pipes for the US 129 'balt meet, and thought 6 weeks lead time was enough, apparently not. Like I said I'm giving them until the 10th then I want $600.00 worth of that NEW DYNO HANN is produly showing off on facebook.
