Clutch Sensor
Welcome to the site, if the code indicates it’s the clutch position sensor then it is out of adjustment

It is a variable resister, the ECM needs to know what voltage range to look for. It is supposed to supply exactly 5V or less than 1.5V on the signal wire.
Strange that the dealer identified there was a wire problem but didn't find & fix it. Whoever suggested "ground wire" is ill informed; there is a "low ref" wire instead, basically zero V - 4.8V stable supplied by the ECM. Digital circuits read 5V as on and less than 5V as off. (grossly simplified)
Thus my suggestion to inspect the ECM connector. All 3 of the involved wires end up there. This might also be a symptom of a bad battery, probably not in this case.
I have no idea why you are going to a proven incompetent shop for more work. GM mechanics have absolutely no different training or resources than every other mechanic.
I doubt the pedal position sensor has gone bad 5 times. More likely scenario is they have "bumped" the wire plug just right when replacing the sensor. Later it jiggles loose and won't work again.
Just curious. You've had to tow it to the repair shop every time it won't start ?

That's what I meant "physical" vs "software". I'm not sure if it is one of those "must" or "should" or "probably doesn't matter": the manual says to do it when replacing it or the ECM just like it says for the crank sensor that doesn't seem to be "required".
