Coilovers HHR SS

Hi, looking for a little feedback. I looked through the site, but didn’t find a specific answer. I have a 2009 HHR SS Automatic and currently have KYB struts and ZZP springs on it. I’m moving to the country where the roads are much rougher and I’m going to install a coilover set but not really sure what’s all available and what’s good. I’ve been directed to the Godspeed brand and been told they have three (3) different sets available, with the RS model the recommended set. Would like to get some experienced opinions? Car is a daily driver, driven very spirited at times, but more concerned about ride quality/comfort. Slight engine, brake mods, polyurethane bushings, and rear sway bar already installed. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Looks like you’re gonna be waiting for those coil overs, Godspeed is closed because of the pandemic,

This is who I called and spoke with today. Is this not the actual Godspeed? They said they had everything but the Max set and it was set to arrive around the 1st week of September.

The safer at home lockdown in Los Angeles ended months ago. I assume they need to update their web site.

Are they (Godspeed) a good brand?

Also, should I have started this thread in the HHR SS section, or is it correct where it is?

Most of the online comments I’ve seen suggest that coilovers will move you in the wrong direction. Many comments about harsh ride. Also sagging with use, which would likely be worse on rough roads.

Do you still have the old springs? Going back to the factory FE5 springs would be a move in the right direction. The additional clearance from the FE3 springs might make even more sense in your situation. Will still handle very well, especially is you add a rear sway bar. Except for the track, xtreme lowering is mostly about looks.
