I ordered a red anodizes one, and then went under the hood to scope out a location. Man, there is'nt very much room to put much else in the engine compartment. Luckly, the catch can I bought[be here next week] as a samll one. Think I found a spot, just in front of the computer.

Was wondering... Just installed the superchips and boost is limited to about 20 psi. Took off the airbox cover the other morning to hear the whoosh and heard air leaking out around the 20 psi. I think it was from the wastegate. Will this spring correct this and will my boost go beyond 20?

Basically it should just go between the valve cover and the turbo intake. Catches oil so you don't suck oil into the turbo through the intake.

installing catch cans is an age old thing. Cheapest way is to use a fuel filter, installed for proper flow. Get the clear, plastic one. Been on my '96 Eclipse GSX for years.....when it gets dirty or full, replace it. All snazzy, colored ones, won't let you see when it's collected crap.

We LS1 guys have, unfortunately, accumulated a large body knowledge on oil sucking. Most nice fancy so called "catch cans" are unmitigated crap. They look pretty, cost a lot, and in terms of filtering oil out of air, rate about a "3". Generally, just a can stuffed with steel wool. For a very small amount of money, get a filter of the type used on air compressors. These are designed by people who actually understand fluid mechanics instead of some piston head who works in a machine shop. The little cheap ones sold at Home Depot work fine. They only thing you've got to consider is the polycarbonate bowl doesn't like to be pressed up against a hot exhaust manifold or cleaned with perchlorethylene. For a more extreme solution for high power engines, here's what I am using.

Jeg's sells one for $40 or $50. It worked fine on my all motor build. I'm thinking of buying another one but I'm not sure that the poly bowl holds up to boost though (?).

I know this is off topic from the oil can but I wated to see if anyone else had the same results with the Dejon Spring. I ordered mine and installed it. The first thing I noticed was a strange noise when boosting. This was worse when the car was cold. (Almost like I had bad gas in the thing. No noticible gains in acceleration or boost. Decided to junk the spring and go back to the stocker. Runs perfect again. I do not recommend this spring for superchips users.

Also, I took the spring out and reinstalled twice with the same results. Clamps are all tight and boost is at 20.

If your manifold pressure is making it into your crankcase, you're in serious trouble.
