Not sure, but seems the interpretation for any warranty work, or any aftermarket parts affecting warranty work, would maybe depend on each dealership, and how they would look at it.
Some dealerships might go for it and some may give you a bad time. At least that what seems to be in my case. The whole thing started at a dealership level, then my bad review got GM customer assistance invloved, then it whole thing went in the toilet, as it stands now.
Still waiting for a reply from the owner of the dealership, where I bought the car, as you whether they are willing to help me out. Won't hurt anything to ask. "Moon"

In other words if you get denied don't send the nasty letter and go to another dealer and try again.

I too have notice some dealer get uptight and other have little issue with non related mods. I wonder just what leeway GM has or if it is just the dealer.

I have to agree with Hypev6. First dealer denied, I sent nasy letter, GM got involved, whole thing went nowhere. Should have gone to dealer where I bought the car.
Well, sent owner of dealership[where I bought the car] that I have known for awhile. Explained the whole deal to her, and asked if she could help me out on this, before I went to her service dept.
Just got a e-mail back saying, she is making the service dept manager aware of the problem, and that it will get fixed. Also she wants me to do some artwork for her, so bottom line should have used this channel to start with, instead of getting my panties all wadded up over this. "Moon"

Agreed on the fact that different dealers can be "uptight" about mods. The previous car I had was NOWHERE near stock, yet the dealer I went to and gave most of my service business to always took care of me (Dodge). Granted they didn't do any of the aftermarket installs and they knew what I'd done to the motor (P&P head, long tube headers, aftermarket ECU, suspension work, etc., etc.). Now I went to a different dealer for service work (I'd moved and my original dealer was too far out to go to) and they wouldn't touch the car. Just goes to show you! To date (knock on a Redwood!!) the Chevy dealer where I bought my SS has been good as far as taking care of any issues I've had w/ the SS so far.
