Intermittant boost problem.
My bet is that it is very likely the Wastegate Actuator (this is a solenoid with three ports on it, located near the turbocharger). A bad actuator can cause low boost and also uncontrolled full boost. Known problem if you look in the "recall" postings. I just replaced mine for an "overboost" condition, but the more common symptom is under or no boost due to a cracked fitting.

Well I'll join in this thread...
Monday... drove to work... no problems
Left work 2 hours later to go to another location, nothing over 5.7# in all gears. Even thru a key cycle. Drove a bit like this. Turned off car again (2nd time).
Left the powder coating shop, same thing, turned a corner... boost was back.
Got off the highway, 5.7# boost in 1st gear fine in all others.
Day later, numerous key cycles, still low boost in 1st, fine in all others.
WTF over!
Car has stage 1, stock air filter/box/tubes.
Dropped it off at the dealership.

The wires on mine looked fine but the connector would come up and hit and it just would kill the power till we shimmed the IC forward to give it clearance.
I also had convoluted tubing over the wires and it still did it.
I suspect as engine mounts get older and the engine comes up highter more will have contact issues.
